Velázquez Fruits is a family company whose origins date back to 1965. Dedicated for generations to the cultivation and agricultural trade in Alicante (Spain), the company decided to move its headquarters to Valencia to expand their business frontiers.
After some time, Velázquez Fruits became relevant at a regional level in the retail market of fruits and vegetables.
Our fruits were always handled as they were at the beginning, with a comprehensive product tracking from the first seed until they went on sale.
This concern and good work in all stages of production led to a rapid growth of the business until finally settling in the wholesale market, as traders but also as producers.
This growth was based on the knowledge of the product arriving to our customers: always reliable, grown on our own land or by local trusted producers.
This knowledge can only be achieved through the experience provided by a sustained growth of the company.
So today we are the result of a long and careful process of maturation in the field of agricultural production and trade, placing us as one of the leading companies in Spain.

We occupy three sales units (units 65-67 and unit 18) and a central storage and packaging in one of the Multipurpose buildings within MercaValencia.
All our facilities have paneled walls and ceilings and the newest logistics and packaging technologies , ensuring optimum climate control for our products, and ensuring maximum hygiene within our facilities.

In addition to the ISO 9001 international certificate of recognition, in Velázquez Fruits we have a rigorous quality control to be followed, from the moment that you choose a product until it is delivered to you. This control consists of three phases (Product Analysis, Input Control and Post-packaging Control). This ensures the highest quality to the product that reaches your shop or table.
Additionally, all of our packaging support (hard plastic, cardboard, plastic tubs, ...) and transport (pallets, packaging, ...) complies with applicable regulatory standards within the European Union.
In addition, all operators have the Spanish title of Food Handler to perform their duties in the horticultural center. In parallel, our team members perform an Internal Training Course provided by Velázquez Fruits, supported by a booklet that the operator should study carefully before joining. This course includes notions of Good Hygienic Practices and specific training about the product whose handling is entrusted.
Finally, all our weighting material is constantly certified by official agencies.
